#1 When is Open Enrollment for the Individual/Family Policies?

You can newly enroll, re-enroll, or change your current Marketplace or Private Plan during Open Enrollment which runs from November 1, 2024 to December 15, 2024. For individuals who are uninsured today, this is the time of year you must secure a plan, if you choose to do so. Coverage purchased during Open Enrollment begins on January 1, 2025. NOTE: Individuals/and or families with qualified life event(s) such as loss of employer coverage, divorce, aging off a parent’s plan, are allowed mid-year changes and enrollment. This is referred to as a Special Enrollment Period or SEP.

#2 When is Open Enrollment for Seniors or Individuals on Medicare Plans?

Individuals enrolled in Medicare Advantage or Stand-Alone Medicare Part D Prescriptions plans can change/alter their plans once a year. This period is called the Annual Election Period or AEP and occurs from October 15, 2024 – December 7, 2024. Any changes made during this timeframe go in to effect on January 1, 2025. NOTE: Medicare beneficiaries that experience a special event throughout the year such as moving service areas/moving out of state or admission to a care facility may be allowed mid-year changes. This is referred to as a Special Enrollment Period or SEP.
